“ We are under attack ”

I was working in Southampton at the time and remember the customers in the office gasping and screaming "Oh my God! Oh my God!". Naturally I stopped working to go see what had happened because it sounded like someone was in trouble. As I open the door I can see everyone glued to the TV. They were watching the live coverage from NYC and the 2nd plane had just hit the WTC. They claimed, "We are under attack". Personally, I felt as if it was a long time coming and bound to happen as the US has overstepped themselves one too many times and went back to work. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate my country or feel we deserved it, but I do believe the attacks had reason that the US government has failed tell us to date. Nobody would willingly commit suicide without great reason, let alone the 4+ who were willing to die to send a message. Does anyone truly understand why it was done? Because I honestly don't believe you do.
